Clogged strainer

A stainer is a small gadget found On the intake port of the fuel pump, which filters Rust and dirt contained in the fuel tank, accumulated dirt clogs the strainer hindering fuel from correctly entering the fuel pump. You will know that your strainer is clogged by uneven delivery of the fuel to the injectors causing engine jerks or sputters. Once in a while.

To fix this You should Inspect the tank and the strainer and check on dust and rust especially the old cars. This means you’ll have to remove the back seat to access the fuel pump to confirm it. If it’s full of rust, If the strainer is clogged, use a vacuum cleaner as you physically remove all dirt.

Faulty sensors,

this is when some of the many sensors have malfunctioned, To find out which sensor is causing the problem, you’ll need to plug in a good OBD2 scan tool used for checking and collecting live data of the vehicle and the repair manual which stipulates all the sensors and their functions then compare the results. the expected outcome is that the faulty sensors read way above the recommended threshold. Replace the faulty sensor and erase the codes and retest to confirm that all sensors function

Fuel Leaks

Any internal or external fuel pump leak or leaks will decrease the fuel pressure and lead to overheating jerking and stalling, this can damage the pump or whole fuel system..You can tell you fuel leaks if there’s a small leak especially when depressurize when the engine is turned off. leaks makes the engine take longer before starting especially in the morning, this is fixed by identifying the leaks and sealing them or replacing them if they are completely worn out.
